RHICON recently completed a front entrance door restoration for a homeowner in Innisfil, Ontario. The existing double entrance doors were no longer sealing properly, allowing water to penetrate the home and cause interior damage.
The homeowner initially considered replacing the doors; however, the original doors were a special-order size, making full replacement significantly more expensive than their budget allowed. Our team developed a cost-effective restoration solution that preserved the existing doors while improving both performance and appearance.
The project included:
- Repairing damaged sections at the bottom of the doors
- Replacing all weatherstripping to ensure a proper seal against the elements
- Installing beautiful frosted glass inserts for enhanced curb appeal and privacy
- Sanding, preparing, and painting both doors
- Reusing the existing matte black door lock hardware
- Installing new matching matte black hinges
- Reinstalling and carefully aligning the doors to ensure proper fit and operation
- Installing aluminum capping around the exterior door casing to improve aesthetics and protect the original wood trim from future water damage
The homeowner had struggled to find a reliable contractor who could solve the issue without exceeding their budget or compromising on quality. RHICON delivered a durable, attractive solution that restored the entrance system, prevented further water intrusion, and significantly enhanced the home’s curb appeal.
The client was extremely satisfied with the final result and appreciated our ability to provide a high-quality restoration while staying within budget.
